General Shows and Featured Artist Events

AllyBeads offers two types of in-store show options - General Show and Featured Artist Show.

If you are interested in participating in either of these types of events at AllyBeads,

please review the guidelines below; then, email us to request an application.

You can reach us at info@allybeads.com

We have been very pleased with our working arrangements with AllyBeads Jewelry & Gifts. Our trunk shows have been handled very professionally and included more than we expected in terms of promotional efforts. Our last show even landed us a TV feature on the Channel 19 FOX morning news! We feel the show guidelines are very fair and well worth the investment to participate with AllyBeads in bringing our product to the customer; and, we highly recommend AllyBeads to other artists who are looking for a public venue to share their artistic works. -- Karen Henriques and Charla Lee - GIG Metal Designs

General Show Guidelines

AllyBeads Jewelry & Gifts often features groups or individual artists (show owner) by providing space in its Milford, Ohio retail store for the sale of products that align with the store’s overall theme. Items may include handcrafted jewelry or other beaded items, fiber art (or other art medium) featuring beads, individual beads, etc., that exemplify excellent craftsmanship and quality. If you are interested in featuring your designs/products at AllyBeads, please review these guidelines before submitting a show application (available as a separate form).

Show Guidelines

Show items are juried, and you will be required to submit high-quality jpeg digital images representing your designs; or, make an appointment to present samples of your designs to the store. All items will be juried by the AllyBeads Advisory Council, and decisions of the council are final. You will be notified within 7-10 days of submission on the acceptance of your proposed event.

Shows need to be confirmed 10-12 weeks in advance to allow sufficient time to promote the event.

General shows (also defined as trunk shows) are typically one-two days (no more than three days) in duration.

There is a $25 general show booking fee. This fee covers the jury process for reviewing your application and marketing for your event (to include a show press release, in-store signage, email communications, website promotion, calendar listings in local publications, and a PDF show flyer/poster). Any paid advertising is the responsibility of the show owner. Note:  Please do not send the booking fee until your show proposal is accepted and a date is confirmed, as the booking fee is non-refundable.

Thirty percent (30%) of the selling price of work sold during the event will be paid to AllyBeads and is due on the final day of the event at the conclusion of the show. This commission includes the use of our facilities, the use of our staff and sales processing equipment to handle sales transactions, and associated credit card fees.

Packaging (wrapping/bagging) of show items is the responsibility of the show owner.

The show owner needs to be present during the event’s duration and take full responsibility for engaging with customers in the sale of show merchandise. AllyBeads staff will also help when not serving other customers.

AllyBeads will provide one 5’ x 5’ table and two chairs. Additional table space may be available upon request; or, the show owner may supply display tables (as approved by the store). Set-up specifications need to be included in your show proposal and are subject to review/acceptance by the store’s advisory council.

Show presentation is the responsibility of the show owner; and, it is expected that the owner will provide appropriate table coverings, display props, etc., to establish a professional event appearance.

Featured Artist Show Guidelines

AllyBeads Jewelry & Gifts often features individual artists by providing space in its Milford, Ohio retail store for the sale of products that align with the store’s overall theme.

Featured Artist Show Guidelines

Show items are juried, and you will be required to submit high-quality jpeg digital images representing your designs; or, make an appointment to present samples of your work to the store. All items will be juried by the AllyBeads Advisory Council, and decisions of the council are final. You will be notified within 7-10 days of submission on the acceptance of your proposed event.

Shows need to be confirmed 10-12 weeks in advance to allow sufficient time to promote the event.

Show duration for a featured artist can run up to one full month. AllyBeads suggests a minimum of one week to allow for adequate visibility and promotion of the featured artist’s portfolio.

There is a $25 Featured Artist booking fee. This fee covers the jury process for reviewing your application and general marketing for your event (to include a show press release, in-store signage, email communications, website promotion, calendar listings in local publications, and a PDF show flyer/poster). Any paid advertising is the responsibility of the featured artist. Note:  Please do not send the booking fee until your show proposal is accepted and a date is confirmed, as the booking fee is non-refundable.

Thirty percent (30%)of the selling price of work sold during the event will be paid to AllyBeads and is due on the final day of the event at the conclusion of the show. This commission includes the use of our facilities, availability of our staff and sales processing equipment to handle transactions, and associated credit card fees.

The Featured Artist should plan to attend the ‘opening’ of the event; and, is invited to participate as much as possible during the event duration to represent his/her works; however, AllyBeads staff will also share in the active selling of the artist’s works during the event timeframe.

AllyBeads will provide a lockable, glass, multiple-shelf corner unit to display the featured artist’s work. The store will take every precaution to avoid theft/damage of show items; however, AllyBeads assumes that the artist is personally responsible for insurance on items displayed during the show’s timeframe.

Show presentation is the responsibility of the Featured Artist; and, it is expected that the artist will set-up the initial display. In addition, the artist will regularly check the exhibit of work and replenish, as needed, to maintain a vibrant display.
